How to choose the correct Tinytag

Choosing a Tinytag data logger

There are a series of straightforward steps to ensure you select the correct Tinytag for your application:

What do you need to measure?

First and foremost, which environmental parameter/s do you need to measure? - temperature/humidity/power usage/CO2 etc. Dual channel loggers monitoring both temperature and RH are available if required.

What ranges need to be monitored?

Loggers differ in their monitoring capabilities, so make sure the logger's range fits the conditions experienced in your application.

Which environment/conditions will your logger be exposed to?

Choose the correct unit for the conditions. Tinytags are available in a choice of enclosures, from basic devices for indoor building monitoring, to robust, dustproof and waterproof units designed to withstand the harshest industrial processes and for use outside.

Do you need a logger with a probe?

Data loggers with probes are available to monitor applications experiencing extremes (both low and high) of temperature, or to reach awkward places such as pipework that a logger cannot reach. The thermocouple data logger is also popular for many process and industrial applications, as a fast-response, low-cost solution.

Do you need remote access to your data?

Consider radio or LAN data loggers which collect data automatically for immediate viewing by any permitted user in a LAN, or remotely over the internet. With no need to manually download data, they are ideal for monitoring in larger premises or those with many monitoring points, both indoors and outdoors.
